Prepping for the Future?
It started out as something to do. Feeling as if my life had little meaning I was seeking something to make me feel as if I had purpose. Perusing the internet I came across a website describing a pilgrimage path called El Camino de Santiago de Compostela, located in Spain. I decided that this was something that I could do. This was a walk. A long walk. A 500 mile walk.
I embarked upon this journey and 6 weeks later I had walked across the country of Spain, something thousands and thousands have done before. I met amazing people and had a fabulous time, but it has taken a little over two years to truly understand the magic and lessons that the Camino holds. There was nothing specific that happened in the moments of my time on the Camino, but what has transpired because of and since I walked has been mind blowing.
I don’t know if everything I’m going through now is preparing me for the future, but I know that the Camino did, and I know that there are a lot of things in my life that I can look back at and see it was definitely a preparation for where I am now. So I pay attention. Every time something happens, every time I have an interaction or encounter, everything that occurs in my life I look at and wonder… What is the lesson? What can I learn from what is happening right in front of me, right here, right now. And so I do wonder… What if?
My wish for you is to find eye-openings and amazing lessons that leave you breathless, to find a-ha moments that melt your heart, to realize your puzzle piece in the adventure we call life, and to find meaning in the seeming meaningless. Life is difficult, but with meaning it is not just survivable, it is thrive-able!
Huge hugs and big love,
P.S. A note about the image: I don't know where it originated from, but I got it from Jody's fb post.... thanks Jody!
