Emotions are gifts?
Hello Miracle Makers,
Emotions are gifts.
Or are they? It sure didn’t feel to me that emotions were gifts. I thought “How can anger, rage, frustration, irritation, and all those other negative emotions be gifts? That’s just B.S. and whoever says it is a liar! That’s just somebody trying to pull the wool over my eyes.”
And then I learned more. (These are very abbreviated statements so that this post is not 10 pages long, but it goes something like this):
I learned that when I know what I don’t want, I can pretty much look in the opposite direction and see what I do want. (I don’t want to be around rude people, therefore I prefer to be around courteous people.)
I learned that negative feelings aren’t necessarily negative, but that they are a vibrational pattern that does not feel good, and I can learn ways (Self-Sustaining Leadership, Infinite Possibilities, etc) to raise my vibration (Nonviolent Communication, meditation, etc) and understand why I had that low vibration feeling in the first place (unmet needs).
I learned that when I come to a fork in the road and I don’t know which way to go, if I stop thinking and talking, and just *feel* how I feel, then I will know without a doubt which way to go because my emotions do guide me.
And once I learned enough information, and my brain understood it, I realized that emotions really are the gifts that help us navigate this world.
My wish for you is to find a way to begin to see your emotions as a powerful guidance system so that pain and discomfort put you on notice to choose a different path.
Huge hugs and big love,
