Every relationship you have is affected by your past. Depending how how valued we felt as a child determines how valuable we feel in current day relationships. Do you find you argue with your partner? Does it feel like your partner seems withdrawn? Do you find that other people and things make you feel scared, nervous, anxious, overwhelmed? There's a reason for feeling the way you do. If you often feel like "something's missing" or you could accomplish something if only you had a buddy there with you, or if you feel like you need validation from other people in order for you to feel good about yourself, this class is going to explain exactly why that is, and what you can do about it.
I'll share emotions you may feel, your core wounds and the triggers, what your needs are and what type of connection you crave from another. I'll cover where you probably feel vulnerable and what level of intimacy feels right for you. I'll go over how you might see yourself and how you may feel about others. Then I'll talk about how you may show up as an adult with others from controlling, blaming, choatic or explosive, or distant, frustrated, intolerant, hypervigilant, or unpredictable.
If you had a *unicorns and rainbows* type of childhood, this class is not for you. But if your childhood was "less than wonderful" and you have some underlying anger (there will be no blaming anyone), but if you have any uncomfortable feelings about how things were when you were young, you may want to come to Understand Attachment Styles.
***2 hr class (1-ish hour of explanation, 1-ish hour of Q&A).
***Assessment will be given during class to determine your Attachment Style.
